Can I sign in with email and password instead of a Google account?

The two sign-in methods (email+password, Google) and the key distinction: signing in to the app ≠ connecting GA4 - they don't have to be the same Google account.

In short: a new account can be created with email and password, but an account created via Google remains a Google account.

The two sign-in methods in GA4audit

Email + password - registration with address verification (an activation link, valid 24 h),
Google account - one-click sign-in via OAuth.

The method chosen at registration becomes the account's identity.

An important distinction: signing in ≠ connecting GA4

Two independent things that often get mixed up:

signing in is how you enter the GA4audit app,
connecting Google Analytics is a separate OAuth consent granted in the audit wizard - and it's needed always, regardless of your sign-in method.

So you can sign in with email and password, and attach a Google account solely for reading GA4 - many users do exactly that (e.g. signing in with a company address while GA4 lives on a separate technical account). Moreover, the Google account used for signing in and the one used for the GA4 connection don't have to be the same account.

Can an existing account change its sign-in method?

The method is chosen permanently at registration - a Google account's profile shows that password sign-in isn't enabled for it. If you need to switch methods, write to us: contact@ga4audit.io.
